1) A 2013 Scion FR-S was purchased and financed through Toyota Financial Services (TFS). An extended warranty was also purchased. TFS is NOT owned by Toyota.
2) An oil pump failed. There was engine ticking. There was metal shavings in the oil. So all parts of the engine except the engine block itself had to be replaced.
3) Lake Shore Toyota in Burns Harbor, IN contacted TFS. They filed the claim. TFS did not want to replace all the parts. They fought Toyota.
4) It took 9 months to get the car back. After driving it 10 minutes when accelterating hard the Check Engine Light would blink. Took back to Lake Shore.

5) It tool several weeks more and an instrument brought from Japan figured out that a cam sensor vibrated at high rpm. A shim was put in to hold the cam sensor in place.
